CASLT - Board of Director News - 2004
The AGM on November 7th, 2003 in Gatineau brought many changes to the CASLT Board of Directors and National Council. Outgoing President Susan Forward spoke with enthusiasm of the CASLT projects that are well underway and clearly in line with the government’s Plan of Action on Official Languages. Carolyn King was appointed our new President for a two-year term.
We said goodbye to longtime board member from New Brunswick, Gerry Pelletier. Gerry had served as editor of Réflexions, nominating committee chair of the National Council as well as Treasurer during his time on the Board of Directors. His wonderful sense of style will be truly missed.
We welcome new representatives to the National Council in Saskatchewan, Northwest Territories and Nova Scotia and we say goodbye to Lydia Frazer (SK) Steven Gaudet (NS). We thank them for their support keeping contacts alive within their respective provinces.

Staff Changes
The board wishes to say thank you to Nicole Stanfield, who served as office administrator for one year in the CASLT national office. Nicole worked on a variety of tasks including translations for our website. She has agreed to continue to provide her excellent translation services to the association on a freelance basis. Temporary office support was provided by Nick Burton through the fall months and we appreciate his initiative in coordinating resources for the AGM. We are pleased to welcome our new office administrator, Angélique Tremblay, formerly of Timmins Ontario, who began her duties in January. Angélique has much experience in the area of accounting, as this area has become a large part of the national office duties.
