Past Projects & Research

UQUAM Teacher Candidate (2003-2004)

CASLT assisted Quebec francophone teacher candidates in accessing rural FSL placements in another province (NL & BC).  CASLT`s role was to act as liaison between schools and UQAM in locating appropriate placements and to help defray travel costs.  This initiative is in response to the growing FSL teacher shortage being expected in remote areas.  It is hoped that this initiative could become a pan-Canadian project in future years with financial support of the federal government.
