Michael Salvatori, PhD

Michael Salvatori is currently Registrar of the Ontario College of Teachers. He holds a doctorate in second language education from the University of Toronto and has a varied background in education in the province of Ontario and abroad. Michael has taught at both the elementary and secondary levels, specializing in French as a second language (core and immersion). In leadership roles, Michael has served as a curriculum coordinator of Modern Languages and the Arts, as an elementary school vice principal and principal, and as the Director of Membership Services at the Ontario College of Teachers. At the postsecondary level, Michael has served as Assistant Professor in the Department of French Studies and the Faculty of Education at Glendon College of York University in Toronto, Ontario. He has also taught in Italy at Canadian College Italy and in France, and is the author of a series of French as second language textbooks published by Pearson Education Canada.
