Activity
The student will prepare a recipe book in French with 4 recipes found on the web and 1 original recipe.
Learning Outcomes
The student will be required to:
- write a recipe in French following a model;
- learn the name of some traditional French or Quebécois dishes;
- produce a recipe book;
- understand and use a vocabulary related to the theme.
Technological skills
The student will be required to:
- go to a web site
- use word processing
- download pictures (optional)
- print a text
Learning Scenario
- Students find 4 recipes on the Internet. One must be typically French.
- They write their own recipe by substituting ingredients with one of the four recipes.
- They draw an illustration or download a picture for each recipe and produce a cover for the booklet.
Criteria for Evaluation
- Is the booklet of good quality?
- Is the vocabulary used adequate?
- Is one of the recipes typically French?
- Does the modified recipe respect conventional models?
