Activity

The student will prepare a recipe book in French with 4 recipes found on the web and 1 original recipe.

Learning Outcomes

The student will be required to:

1. write a recipe in French following a model;
2. learn the name of some traditional French or Quebécois dishes;
3. produce a recipe book;
4. understand and use a vocabulary related to the theme.

Technological skills

The student will be required to:

1. go to a web site
2. use word processing
3. download pictures (optional)
4. print a text

Learning Scenario

1. Students find 4 recipes on the Internet. One must be typically French.
2. They write their own recipe by substituting ingredients with one of the four recipes.
3. They draw an illustration or download a picture for each recipe and produce a cover for the booklet.

Criteria for Evaluation

1. Is the booklet of good quality?
2. Is the vocabulary used adequate?
3. Is one of the recipes typically French?
4. Does the modified recipe respect conventional models?

The self evaluation may be completed in one of two ways:

1. When you click on the "Self Evaluation" navigation button, you will be presented with the self evaluation form. You may discuss these questions orally with your students.
