Overview of Activity:
The students produce an Internet ad to show their understanding of how advertising works.
Learning Outcomes / Technical Skills:
The students will be required to:
- write an ad in French;
- use a variety of adjectives in order to describe their product and their web site
- use a word processing program;
- integrate two software programs;
- surf the Internet
Learning Scenario:
The students create a draft of a web site in order to sell a product on the Internet.
Assessment Strategies:
Questions to help direct teacher observations:
- Was the student able to write an ad in French?
- Did the student use a variety of adjectives to describe the product well?
- Was the student able to use two different software programs?
- Was the student able to incorporate at least two graphic images or two technological effects into the site?
- Was the student able to modify the format (font and size of the characters) of the text?
A self-evaluation form is available at the end of the Student Page. It may be completed in one of two ways: you may discuss these questions orally with your students or if you prefer, your students can write out their answers to the self evaluation questions.
