"Looks Fors", Quality L2 Programs
The Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers has developed this section of the association website to support administrators in gathering information on FSL education as a learning process and to support the administration of FSL programs of all kinds.
This section will focus on tools, instruments and support resources destined to administrators with a variety of expertise and knowledge of French second language education and whose mandate may be to supervise and conduct performance appraisals of teachers at their schools or within their districts.
The term administrators broadly includes trustees, board directors, superintendents, principals and vice-principals, department heads and language coordinators at board and ministry levels.
As materials are collected, we hope to post information on topics including student performance, student retention, teacher training, recruitment and retention, degree of language proficiency, availability and funding of programs, teacher and program evaluation and program supports.
