Over the past few months, the Canadian Association of Immersion Professionals (ACPI) has been preparing a large-scale, cross-country consultation of French Immersion (FI) and French as a Second Language (FSL) professionals, including teachers, pedagogical advisors, school principals, administrators, and coordinators. This major project, carried out in collaboration with CASLT, aims to better understand their needs and challenges as well as measure the evolution of issues in the field.
This consultative approach involves three phases:
- A national online survey available until December 10, 2024
- A 12-city tour to conduct consultative workshops planned for 2025
- A final report, available in 2026, that will compare the data obtained with the 2018 data in ACPI’s Rapport final : consultation pancanadienne
More than just a study, this consultation invites all those who bring FI and FSL programs to life across the country to share their day-to-day challenges, voice their concerns, and contribute to identifying priority issues facing our FI and FSL professional community.
Your voice matters, and today, we need you! Your expertise and on-the-ground experiences will help identify concrete solutions to strengthen FI and FSL education and support you even more effectively. Complete the survey today!
