Languages Without Borders (LWB) 2023 will be a hybrid conference. For those unable to attend in person, a virtual program is available. In-person attendees will have access to both in-person and virtual sessions. There will be designated space to join virtual sessions at the conference site, but attendees must use their own devices, including headphones. Virtual attendees will have access to virtual sessions only.

Registration Options

Pre-Conference

Includes access to the afternoon pre-conference on Thursday, March 23.

LWB Conference

Includes access to all LWB conference sessions, meals, and on-site events on Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25.

Partial LWB Conference

You can register for Friday or Saturday only.

Friday

Includes access to all conference sessions, meals, and on-site events on Friday, March 24 only.

Saturday

Includes access to all conference sessions, meals, and on-site events on Saturday, March 25 only.

Pre-Conference Fees (CAD, plus tax)

The 2023 pre-conference, Collective Resilience: Supporting and Engaging Language Teachers Through Communities of Care, will take place in person and will be recorded.

Virtual Rates

* Non-Member: LWB conference registration includes one membership to CASLT or to the OMLTA. A membership to the other association is available at a reduced rate of $30 plus tax.

** Student: Full-time students only. Student ID will be required on site. Includes a CASLT membership. Ontario residents will also receive a free OMLTA student membership.

*** Presenters with accepted proposals must register by January 3, 2023. Registration does not include the meal package. Meal package available for an additional $200 plus tax. LWB conference registration includes one membership to CASLT or to the OMLTA, or a one-year extension for current members. A membership to the other association is available at a reduced rate of $30 plus tax.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made before February 23, 2023, will be refunded, minus a $75 administrative fee. After February 23, 2023, cancellations will not be refunded. There is no charge for transfer of registration.

Photos and Videos

A photographer will be filming and taking photos on behalf of CASLT and the OMLTA. Photos and video footage may be used for:

• Social media posts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
• Brochures, program booklets, newsletters, or publications
• Displays
• Other CASLT or OMLTA promotional materials

Signage will indicate the photographer’s schedule and locations. If you do not want to be filmed or photographed, please inform the photographer or avoid the photography areas during the specified times. In sessions that are being recorded, there will be designated seats for attendees who do not want to be filmed. Please contact us if you have any questions.
