CASLT Event Description
CASLT holds its annual general meeting (AGM) each fall. At the AGM, CASLT members and stakeholders gather to discuss important updates, vote, and network.
CASLT’s AGM on September 27, 2019, at the University of Ottawa had 107 members and 20 observers in attendance. It was held in collaboration with EducLang’s biennial conference and the Ontario Modern Language Teachers’ Association (OMLTA) fall conference. Among the agenda items were the presentation of the annual report and the audited financial statements, the election of two new board members, and the introduction of the board of directors and National Council. For the first time, the meeting was livestreamed on Facebook and attracted close to 100 online viewers.
The AGM was followed by CASLT’s 2019 Networking Day.
