Under this year's theme, "Our Languages: The Bridge That Unites," this day aims to raise awareness among Canadians about the importance of French immersion programs which are offered in over 2,100 schools across the country and play a vital role in fostering bilingualism.

In this session, Dr. Sarah Mercer will join us as we explore the individual and relational aspects of FSL teaching. Leveraging her expertise in teacher psychology, pre-service teacher identity development, socio-emotional intelligence, and well-being, Sarah will delve into the complexities of this issue.

A 30-minute virtual training session that introduces Mauril, CBC/Radio-Canada’s free digital platform for learning English and French, and offers tips for using it in a teaching context, whether in large groups, small groups or independent learning.
CASLT supports its members by creating opportunities for professional development, initiating and disseminating research, and facilitating the exchange of information and ideas among language educators. Memberships start at only $45 per year!
